Abstract (EN)
In this study, the problems arising from planning of university campuses are discussed and some criteria are identified through the most important problems and the selected university campuses in Turkey are evaluated according to determined criterias. In this respect, 45 university campuses founded before 2005 are examined in terms of campus-city relationship, student population, pedestrian scale, pedestrian-vehicle distinction, macro and micro growth. In this study, initially for each campus, records including their general information and features are created. Then the analyses are done using zoning concept on the campus plans taken from the Google Earth programme. In the results chapter, criteria are given as sub-headings and campuses are evaluated for each criterion and the results are given as diagrams. According to the results drawn from the diagrams, the present planning problems are tried to be determined and some solutions are offered.
