Digital transformation of the state in Turkey

The rapid development of digital technologies has led to profound changes in various aspects of modern societies. Advances in information and communication technologies have deeply impacted people's daily lives and brought about transformations in the ways governments provide public services. This transformation has given rise to the concept of the digital transformation of the state, which involves the integration of digital technologies into public administration processes, facilitating interaction with citizens, and enhancing efficiency. Turkey has embraced the digital transformation of the state as a priority in order to adapt to these global changes and exploit its rapid development potential. The digital transformation of the state in Turkey has yielded tangible results in many areas. For instance, with the widespread adoption of e-government applications, citizens can now access public services more easily and quickly, reducing bureaucratic delays. Many transactions, such as tax payments, access to healthcare services, and tracking municipal services, can now be conducted electronically. Additionally, the process of digitalization has increased data sharing among public institutions, contributing to the improvement of the quality and efficiency of public services. However, there are also challenges facing the digital transformation of the state in Turkey. These challenges include insufficient digital infrastructure, the need to develop digital skills, and cybersecurity risks. This study discusses the efforts of the Republic of Turkey in the field of digital transformation and examines their impact on society through quantitative research
