Industry 4.0 in Turkey and the future of working life

Industrial revolutions are developments that have changed the course of human history and caused radical improvements. The mechanization process of the production system, which emerged with the Industrial Revolution, also changed the way things were done. Before the Industrial Revolution, the production activity carried out in the workshop environment on hand looms was later moved to the factories thanks to the integration of the machines into the production system. Increasing in the factories is caused improvement in terms of employment facilities, working conditions and production opportunities. Industry 4.0 emerged in 2011 at the fair in Hannover, Germany. Industry 4.0, known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enables the automation system in production to be equipped with industrial internet-based technology and can be controlled remotely. Industry 4.0, which contains many technologies such as robots, cyber-physical systems, sensors, RFID, enables many unqualified or medium-quality jobs to be performed thanks to robots and automation system instead of manpower. The purpose of this study; To understand the developments in the field of industry and to reveal the importance of keeping up with these developments. The effects of industrial revolutions are not only limited in the industrial field. It brings with economic, social and cultural changes as well. In this study, containing the transformations created with the advent of the industrial revolutions, all the technological developments that have taken place until the emergence of Industry 4.0 are included. The study, which started with the examination of its historical process starting from the pre-industrial period, also provides information about the paradigms and components of Industry 4.0.
