Compilation and analysis of cash flow statement according to Turkish financial reporting standards

The purpose of this thesis, Compilation and Analysis of Cash Flow Statement According to Turkish Financial Reporting Standards, is to review and analyze the principles used in the preparation and analysis of cash flow statements prepared according to Turkish Financial Reporting Standards and compare them with cash flow statements prepared according to other standards in order to provide more useful information to the financial statement readers by using different analysis techniques. The cash flow statement which is prepared according to the standard "Statement of Cash Flows TMS 7" of a publicly traded company operating on the Istanbul Stock Exchange for the years 2015-2014 was analyzed using comparative statements analysis, common-size percentage, trend analysis, cash flow ratios, free cash flow, cash conversion cycle. In this study, the standard TMS 7 related to the cash flow statement, the historical development of the cash flow statement in Turkey and in the world, concepts related to cash flow statement, the principles governing the preparation of the "Statement of Cash Flow TMS 7'' standard have been examined, and has been tried to show that more detailed and accurate analysis results about the business can be obtained with this analysis. Besides facilitating the examination of the operator's cash flows. The cash flow statement according to TMS 7 standard is essential and indispensable and proves to provide important information useful for the management and analysis of the business together with other financial statements in planning and decision making processes.
