Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, feminist approach in woman magazines in Turkey is examined. Feminist approach in Turkey became post feminist by time by neo liberal policy as in the West. Therefore,The frame of this work is post feminist approach and the basis of work is the truth that the best seller magazines in Turkey write about the roles of sexes parallel to this approach.There are three parts in this thesis. In the first part, the development of feminist approach is told by the help of a survey. In the second part, feminist approach in Turkey as a part of political area is told. In the third part, social sex centered feminist approach?s reflection in woman magazines is examined.As a result, the aim is to talk about development of feminist approach in Turkey and is to evaulate the news about roles of sexes in the society in the magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Instyle, Elle, Marie Claire, All, Elele, Hülya, Madame Figaro and Harper?s Bazaar dated May 2008. This is done by post feminist factors.It is seen that post feminist approach in women magazines is used to encourage consumption.
