Abstract (EN)
In preparing this thesis, the rural area in Turkey, the Ottoman Empire and the end of the period after the establishment of the Republic of Turkey has been examined, the policies for the development of rural areas and practices have been addressed. Then, in general, been told KÖYDES project implementation and Ankara have revealed. Social, economic and cultural meaning as in the urban development of rural areas who did not develop in Turkey for various projects, policies and approaches have come into question. However, this project could not continue the policies and approaches.Local governments have increased the importance of globalizing the world. Closer to the general public and local units to offer services more efficiently and cost is also cheaper. People's participation in rural development efforts in the development of democracy in terms of importance.
