The situation and future analysis of nursery in management of health in Turkey

Nurse is a member of profession of health care team who has an active role in developing and applicating therapeutic plans. Social, cultural, scientific and technologic developments effect development of nursery as a profession. Although in the beginning dates; nursery has been defined as a service call, assistant of medical doctor or a religious mission adoring to other people, nowadays it is accepted as a scientific dicipline. The aim of this study is to investigate the mission and efficacy of the nurses in the management of health in Turkey and to evaluate the future position of nurses in health management.In our country struggle of nursery to be a profession still continues. Although nursery in developed countries gained its self determination and established as a seperate health dicipline; in less developed countries such as our country the profession of nursery still works to establish itself as a seperate dicipline. Increasing the level of education of nursery at least to bachelor's degree with in the body of Ministiry of Health was an important development for the profession of nursery. A survey was made for the professional situations of nurses, and studied to prove that nurses may be succeed on management of health also. In addition to education given to nurses the work load and heaviness of their duty increases the stres on them and leads to inefficiency and dissatisfaction.Key Words: Nurse, Nursing Profession, Health, Health Management
