In terms of criminal sociology probation practices and social cohesion: Example of Ankara

In the process of socialization, the individual tries to adapt to the values and culture of the society he lives in and to internalize the behavior patterns he expects from the society. Only in this way will the social cohesion be achieved. Negative results of the socialization process of individuals can lead to crime and deviation behavior. In this context, as a social problem, the concepts of punishment as a social and social response were examined in terms of the sociology of crime and probation practice was examined as a form of execution of punishment in convicts' social harmony. The main aim of this study was convicted of the probation implementations in Turkey is to analyze the sociological impact of their participation in social life. In this context, to determine socio-demographic characteristics of convicts under probation measure, to understand what problems they face with crime and social adaptation and to understand the contribution of the studies conducted within the scope of probation to the social adaptation of convicts. In line with the purpose of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 50 convicts with conditional release within the scope of probation in Ankara Probation Center.
