Abstract (EN)

Hazardous waste; dangerous for the environment and human health, which is flammable, caustic, explosive, radioactive, corrosive and carcinogenic, toxic waste is the name given to all. Hazardous wastes in such a way that damages to the environment directly and indirectly receiving environment of prevention. Unstoppable hazardous waste reuse, recycling and recovery to be disposed of by way of reducing the amount is very important. Demonstrated by the return of hazardous waste; our natural resources are protected, energy savings and reduced the amount of waste and significant resources to the economy.In this context, the aim of this study; Turkey has to solve the problems of hazardous waste management is enabled with the selected instance from recycling companies, Turkey emerged in terms of welfare gains/losses are partial analysis of and a contribution to the policy development unit of the economic decision. The purpose of this study, the recycling companies; Naksan Plastic and Energy Industry Trade Company, Bayer Turk Chemical Industry Limited Company, Akdeniz Chemical Industry and Trade Company, Dentaş Packaging and Paper Industry Joint Stock Company and Ak-Kim Chemical Industry and Trading Joint Stock Company using secondary data base for covering the period 2002-2012 total factor productivity (TFV) was measured. The resulting findings are evaluated and can be measured net external benefits of recycling/net external costs, for the first time Turkey has been calculated starting from the instance. According to the results of the study stochastic, recycling companies by creating positive net external benefits to the national economy and social welfare contribution have been identified. In this context, the Ministry of environment and urban development authorized hazardous waste management, including institutions and organizations the opportunity to a new initiative developed recommendations that can be granted.
