Obtaining pathogen-free plant to citrus yellow vein clearing by shoot tip grafting technique

In this study, Shoot Tip Grafting technique (STG) has been applied for shoot tips, are collected from Citrus Yellow Vein Clearing (CYVC) infected Kutdiken lemon (Citrus lemon) trees at University of Cukurova Search and Practise Plantation Citrus Collection Poots and elemination percentage are determineted. The symptomatic expression were observed on sour orange (Citrus aurantium) by biological indexing both pre STG and post STG tecnique. These symptoms were yellow vein clearing and deformation on leaves as curling or distorting, shortening the nodal gap. STG technique was made by using size as the meristem that contained 2 and 4 leaves taken at the spring and autumn times and each on the shoot tips were grafted Carrizo citrange (C. sinensis x Poncirus trifoliata) seedlings. The healthy plant percentage, are obtained after grafting consequently were 57 %, 45 %, both Autumn and Spring seasons. The healthy plant percentage, are obtained after grafting consequently were 62 % and 40 % meristem that contained 2 leaves and 4 leaves Finaly as a result in STG studies, percentage of pathogen-free plant observation was 50 %.
