Abstract (EN)

In this study, the mechanical transmission of Citrus Yellow Vein Clearing; (CYVC) and Citrus Chlorotic Dwarf (CCD) to herbaceous plant and their seed transmission in bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), sour orange (Citrus aurantium L.) and lemon (Citrus limon (L.) Burn.f.) were investigated. The mechanical transmission of CYVC and CCD were evaluated on nine different herbaceous plants. Although, CYVC was found on inoculated different three plant species; bean (Dermason and Horoz), black-eyed pea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.), pigweed (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.), CCD were not recorded on any of the inoculated herbaceous plants. Cholorosis, necrosis and mosaic symptoms which develoved on bean plants are recorded obviously. Sap obtained from transmited bean plants with CYVC was inoculated mecanically to sour orange seedlings and yellow vein clearings, curlings and distorting-type leaf deformations were observed on sour orange inoculated with CYVC. In this study, seeds of bean (Dermason) plant determined as indicator plants for CYVC were sowed. It was determined that CYVC disease could be transmited 40% by bean seeds, but could not be transmited by seeds of lemon and sour orange.Key Words: CYVC, CCD, inoculation, indicator plant
