Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of jasmonic acid applications on salt tolerance in two different tomato genotypes determined to be saline stress tolerant (TOM 23) and susceptible (TOM 106) in previous studies has been investigated in terms of some physiological paramters. Malatya Turgut Özal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, carried out as a pot experiment in the cultivation greenhouse, two different salts (0 and 100 mM) and 4 different doses of jasmonic acid (0, 20, 30 and 40 μM) were used. In the study, green component wet and dry weights, root wet and dry weights, plant stem diameter and length, physiological parameters, which are among the plant growth parameters in order to follow the plant growth; leaf water potential, leaf osmotic potential, photosynthesis rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductivity, determination of chlorosis status with SPAD meter in leaves, membrane damage in leaf cells and internal CO2 content and Na, K, Ca, Cl nutrient element contents in leaves were examined. As a result of the study, it was determined that different doses of jasmonic acid on tomatoes grown under salt stress had a statistically significant effect on almost every parameter observed. As a result, it has been revealed that 20 and 30 μM doses of jasmonic acid are more effective in reducing the negative effects of salt stress compared to other doses and approximates the results related to the sensitive (TOM 106) genotype in many parameters to the tolerant (TOM 23) genotype.
