The migration management policiy of federal republic of Germany in the 20th and 21st century in the context of international migration movements: Welcoming culture or defensive culture?

The aim of this study is to examine the migration management policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the period of the 20th and 21st century and to determine the effects of these policies on indigenous people and refugees. Apart from this, within the same time frame the migration management policies which were made and the attitudes of indigenous people on refugees were compared to find out if there (in Germany) exists towards the refugees a welcome culture or a defensive culture. At this study qualitative research methods were used. In this context document reviews, various international and national reports and contracts were examined. Besides, various graphs, figures and tables were examined and necessary comparisons were made. Furthermore an inductive approach was made through document reviews and through the analysis of the obtained data of a lot of domestic and foreign academic articles, books, documentaries, party election programs, federal council resolutions, European Commission reports and press releases. A new perspective on the subject has been developed by conducting a literature review.
