New methods and materials used in soil-related road deterioration in Uluyazi (Çankiri) campus

Turkey carries itself to the forefront among the countries that develop at the rate of population growth and technology development. This rapid development shows itself in the construction sector as well as in every sector. With the establishment of new residential areas, the need for new roads is also important. With the increase in population, the vehicle load on the roads is also increasing and the old road construction methods are now having difficulty in removing this load. Therefore, it causes irreversible problems. Deteriorations encountered in road structures; there may be application errors, poor evaluation of regional weather conditions, inconvenience of the selected methods, as well as the deterioration of the soil is one of the problems encountered. Deformations caused by lithological problems of soils are observed in the form of deformations and cracks. With the development of technology, rapid progress has been made in engineering applications and various innovations have emerged. The lithological properties of the soil, the deteriorations caused by them, and the deformations in the landslide area were examined on the new road route built on the Uluyazı campus. A number of new methods and materials suitable for the lithology of the land have been used for the improvements that can be made on this route.
