Analysis of childhood trauma, pyschological tendencies in intimate relations and abuse in romantic relationships among university students

Abstract (EN)

The object of this study is to show that childhood trauma, pyschological tendencies in intimate relations and abuse in romantic relations are related to eachother. Besides, childhood trauma, pyschological tendencies in intimate relations and abuse in romantic relations had been investigeted about some other demografical variants like gender, age, family budget, lenght of the romantic relation. Also if they had lost one of parents or not, if they have a family member to trust or not, have a close friendship or not, if their parents divorced or not. 113 university students attended to study who live in İstanbul and willing to help. "Childhood Trauma Questionnarie", "The Multidimensional Relationship Questionnarie", "Romantic Relationship Assessment Inventory" and "Personel İnformation Questionarrie" had been used for collecting data for the study. As a result of this research, it is determined that there is staticaly correlation between scale of Romantic Relationship Assessment İnventory and gender variety. Therefore, it is seen that score of women are higher than men. It is determined that, Relation Anxiety which is subscale of Multimentional Relantionship Questionarrie and age variety has higher score in 21 years old group. It is seen that there is staticaly correlation between self confidence subdimention in Relationship and gender variety. As a result it is concluded score of women are higher than men.
