Abstract (EN)

Healthy eating; It is the consumption of nutrients in sufficient and balanced amounts for growth and development, protection, improvement and development of health. It is known that if the nutrients are taken more or less than necessary, growth and development slows down and health is affected. College age represents the transition period from adolescence to adulthood. There are concerns about the health of students this semester. Nutrition is an important factor affecting the health of students. Inadequate food intake, poor dietary habits, and poor quality foods pose potential risks to long-term health. As a result of the studies, it has been observed that the level of knowledge of university students about nutrition is low. For this reason, malnutrition, low-calorie nutrition and eating disorders have increased. In the study; It was planned, conducted and a survey was conducted on 561 students in order to determine the preferences of the students in the establishments that provide mass food service in each campus of Bahçeşehir University (Galata Campus, North Campus, South Campus, Kemerburgaz Campus, Göztepe Campus) and to determine the factors affecting these situations. . Data were collected with a questionnaire form. In the first part of the questionnaire, under the title of information collection form, determining the social-demographic characteristics, anthropometric measurement values of the participants, age, gender, the faculty/department of Bahçeşehir University and the chronic health problem, if any, they were diagnosed with were asked. There are 35 questions in total in the questionnaire form in order to determine the current eating habits. While there was a significant relationship between the money spent on food at school and the level of income (p<0.05), there was no significant relationship between caring about healthy eating and living place (p>0.05). College age is an important time to change physical activity and eating habits that affect health. Therefore, university campuses should implement programs so that students can gain healthy eating habits and healthy habits.
