Abstract (EN)
Happiness, an important concept from past to present, is one of the wishes of all humanity that they always want to achieve. However, it has not been easy to define happiness throughout history. With this study, a detailed research has been made on this concept and it is aimed to shed light on the problem related to the subject. For this purpose, in this study, the happiness levels of university students, who constitute the majority of societies, were examined and it was aimed to reveal what the determinants of happiness are. The study consists of four main parts. In the first part, the background of the study was tried to be revealed by mentioning the aim, importance, scope and limitations of the study. In the second part, the concept of happiness is tried to be dealt with in detail and the relationship of happiness with other branches of science has been discussed. Factors affecting happiness are emphasized. Concepts related to happiness are discussed. In the international arena regarding the past and today's happiness studies have been made in Turkey were examined. In the third chapter, the data set that will be used in the study is introduced. In addition, information was given about the econometric model to be used to reveal the determinants of the happiness level of university students and the analysis results were examined in detail. Finally, in the fourth part, the findings obtained from the study were discussed in detail and suggestions were made on the happiness of university students.
