Determining the spiritual needs of female students studying at the university (Example of Denizli)

This research has been prepared to determine and analyze the spiritual needs of female university students in order to strengthen them spiritually. The main purpose of this study; As a result of the spiritual needs analysis of university female students, to make a situation determination and to support them to be happy and spiritually strong individuals by adding happiness to their life experiences in the light of spiritual values. In this direction, the relationship between the perception of God, hope and religious orientation, which supports the qualitative part of the spiritual needs analysis, was also supported by the findings of the scale. It is aimed to bring the data obtained as a result of the field application to the field of psychology of religion. The universe of this research includes 171 female students, seven of whom are boys, between the ages of 18-23, studying in different branches at the university in Denizli. In the study, there are quantitative data findings obtained as a result of 3 different scales applied to university students consisting of 111 students, semi-ended interview questions consisting of 39 questions in total, applied to 60 female university students, and qualitative findings obtained as a result of needs analysis. A total of 171schoolgırl,participated in the study. In the method of the research, the principles of the exploratory design were adopted and the phenomenological method was followed. The mixed method, in which both quantitative and qualitative methods are used, was used. In this process, the literature was scanned, bilateral interviews were held with the participants, university students were observed and field experts were consulted. According to the results of the research, it was concluded that university students basically have twelve spiritual needs. These are; love and be loved, repentance, spirituality, positive thinking, love, gratitude, patience, resignation, forgiveness, solitude, wisdom and happiness.
