Abstract (EN)

The increasing developments in today's technology has changed the customer expectations. This increased globalization which also rised the manufacturers' needs for better methods to enhance the productivity. In the past, productivity used to be how well an organization would convert inputs (such as labor, materials, machinery, and capital) into goods and services (outputs). However, today, the issue of increasing productivity by measuring input and output ratios has been controversial. At the same time, strategic planning has focused on its role on production efficiency. The current literature on manufacturing strategy provides a strong framework for creating and maintaining competitive advantage. Manufacturing is intertwined with business needs rather than seen as an isolated function, and business policies are screened for competitive impact. Such an approach is invaluable for long-term planning, but can be less helpful in day-to-day decision making, and short-term improvement programs sometimes lack clear directions. Because there may be very few criteria to choose between such applications. Based on this approach, this research was conducted. The purpose of this research is to focus on the role of strategic planning in terms of productivity in the manufacturing area. In order to understand how much the said strategic planning reflects on productivity, a questionnaire was applied to the relevant manufacturers. In this research, which covers textile and automotive companies in Bursa, a total of 201 questionnaires were collected. According to the results of this study, which was analyzed with the SPSS 22 package, it was determined that there is a relationship between Productivity and 6 factors. Accordingly, there is a relationship between Productivity and Production Logistics, Consistency with Strategic Planning, Communication Policy with Suppliers, Superiority Approach, Marketing Approach and Strategic Product. The direction of this relationship is statistically positive. That is, the more focused on these factors, the better the productivity will be. On the other hand, it has been decided that there is no relationship between Production Efficiency, Cooperation with Suppliers and Customer Expectation.
