Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, it was aimed to reveal the relationship between the urticaria shaped in horses with hematological and serum biochemical parameters. The horses included in the study consisted of different race ages and genders brought to Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Internal Medicine Department clinic or in different stud breeding conditions in the field conditions, with healthy (n = 20) and clinically showing urticaria symptoms (n = 15). Blood samples were collected from horses that were determined to be healthy and clinically diagnosed as urticaria by V.jugularis. Blood samples collected were urgently transported to the laboratory for relevant biochemical evaluations. In comparing the hematological values of healthy and urticaria horses, it was observed that there were no significant differences in the other parameters examined in the NEU, MCH and MCHC values. It was determined that the NEU values of horses with urticaria were lower than healthy horses (p <0.05), whereas MCH and MCHC concentrations were significantly lower in horses with urticaria than healthy horses (p <0.05). When the biochemical parameters of healthy and urticaria horses were examined, there were significant changes in ALP, AST, Total Cholesterol, Creatinine and Triglyceride concentrations. It was determined that these changes were significant decreases in Total Cholesterol and Triglyceride levels and statistically significant (p <0.05) increases in ALP, AST and Creatinine levels. As a result, it was concluded that, instead of making generalizations in the evaluation of the hematological and biochemical parameters of the urticaria horses, it would be more accurate to evaluate the patients individually in terms of these parameters and to examine them for other diseases or metabolic changes in addition to the symptoms of urticaria.
