Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in the climate room and water culture of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, Physiology laboratory. In the study using the Adamset tomato variety, the morphological and biochemical effects of calcium (Ca+2) and Potassium (K+) applied to tomato plants under cold stress were investigated. In the study, root weight, stem weight, leaf weight, number of leaves, plant height and distance between plant knuckle were measured. In addition, chilling resistance scales of plants were determined. The amount of chlorophyll and MDA (Malondialdehyde) in the leaves of plants and the amount of ions (Na, K, Ca, Cl, Mg, Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn) and antioxidant enzyme activities in plant leaves to determine the biochemical changes that occur in plants under stress. Catalase (CAT), Ascorbate peroxidase (APX), Superoxide dismutase (SOD) were determined. There was also an increase in the amount of MDA (Malondialdehyde), which is the product of lipid peroxidation. As a result, when appropriate doses of calcium and potassium are applied to tomato plants under cold stress, these ions are the most suitable 200 ppm Ca+2 dose and 216 ppm K+ dose that protects tomato plants against negative effects of stress and protects tomato plants against cold stress. Ca + K doses did not give clear results that we can recommend.
