Abstract (EN)

In this study, Delta modulation (DM) design and analysis are made. The study was designed on Matlab. The effect of changes in delta value on the system is analysed over 5 different step values both on sine signal and recorded sound signal. For the effect of the system on other communication steps, communication steps are also added to the design as transmitter and receiver. The advantages, disadvantages and usability of the DM system will be evaluated in this study. The DM method used to convert an analog signal to digital, that is, to a binary system, can be made faster using fewer circuit elements than other analog / digital conversion systems. In an Analog / Digital conversion done by normal methods, sampling from analog signals and these samples should be quantized first. With this method, too many bits are transmitted. These operations can be done using a single method such as DM, and since only signal exchange information is sent, fewer bits can be sent to the receiver side. Thus, the same operations can be performed with less circuit elements and less coding in terms of hardware and software.
