Abstract (EN)

The material of this study was water and sediment samples collected from Lake Van. The morphological, biochemical and physiological characteristics of positive isolates in terms of L-asparaginase used in the treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in childhood and uricase enzyme used in diagnosis and treatment of gut disease were determined and diagnoses based on 16S rRNA analysis were performed. The ability of the isolates to produce L-Asparaginase enzyme was tested in the M9 medium containing % 1 L-asparagine and phenol red. The alkalophylic medium containing % 0.5 uric acid was used to determine the production of the uricase enzyme. Halomonas F1 isolate showed a positive characteristic for uricase production, while Halomonas F2 isolate showed positive for L-asparaginase production. It was determined that both isolates belong to the moderate haloalkalophilic group. A comparison of the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that F1 isolate had % 98.5 homology with Halomonas variabilis and F2 isolate had % 99.2 homology with Halomonas meridiana.
