Abstract (EN)

With the developing technology, rising life level and increasing population, the need for energy is increasing day by day. In this context, the efficient use of the energy produced and the reduction of the losses in the power systems are gaining importance. In this thesis, Vangölü Electricity Distribution Inc. he Van M8 distribution center and the power transmission lines that feed this distribution center were examined at the 30.5 kV voltage level. Using the power world program, current-voltage variations, short-circuit currents and voltage drops are simulated for different load transfers. With the data obtained in the simulation, the loss status of the energy coming to a distribution center was examined and power optimization was made The closed xlpe cable and the steel core aluminum conductor are compared in the inlet and outlet feeders of the Van M8 distribution center. It has been found that the closed xlpe cable in the distribution center is more suitable in the long run. The effects of capacitor cells on voltage change and loss analysis were investigate
