Abstract (EN)

In this study was conducted to determine the presence of Enterococcus spp. and antibiotic resistance profile in raw and pasteurized milk sold in Van province between March and May 2023. The study was carried out to determine the presence and antibiotic resistance genes. For this purpose, a total of 100 milks, 50 raw milk and 50 pasteurized milk, were analyzed. Additionally, the presence of resistance genes for these antibiotics was investigated in strains resistant to vancomycin, penicillin, ampicillin, erythromycin, chloramphenicol and tetracycline. In the study, as a result of PCR analysis, Enterococcus spp. was detected in all 50 raw milk samples (100 %) and in 4 of 50 pasteurized milk samples (8 %). detected. Enterococcus spp. in raw milk samples. The number was found to be 1.48-6.08 log cfu/ml, with an average of 4.29 log cfu/ml. Three of the pasteurized raw milk samples were determined as 'present' after the presence/absence analysis. In 1, Enterococcus spp. The number was found to be 3.12 log cfu/ml. In 7 (14 %) of the raw milk samples, only Enterococcus faecium was present, in 6 (12 %) only Enterococcus faecalis, in 7 samples both E. faecium and E. faecalis, and in 25 samples other than E. faecalis and E. faecium. Other Enterococcus spp. have been detected. E. faecium and Enterococcus spp. were found in 4 of my pasteurized milk samples. was determined, but E. faecalis was not found. As a result, Enterococcus spp. obtained from raw and pasteurized milk obtained in the Van market. Its presence is an indication of poor hygiene quality. Regular monitoring of these genes, which are of potential importance for public health due to being an important reservoir indicator in terms of antibiotic resistance and virulence genes, will otherwise make antibiotic treatments in humans difficult, which will increase the recovery time of patients and lead to serious health problems.
