Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out at 2018 in Edremit, Gevaş and Erciş districts of Van province where tomato, pepper and melon plants were grown intensively. The aim of this study was to isolate Fusarium and Rhizoctonia species from some vegetables grown in Van province, to make diagnoses and to determine the severity of the disease. A total of 47 Fusarium isolates and 10 Rhizoctonia isolates were obtained from the roots of the plants. The isolates were identified by classical methods and anastomosis groups (AG) were determined. 31 Fusarium (13 F. solani, 18 F. oxysporum), 6 Rhizoctonia (2 binucleic AG-K, 2 R. solani AG-4, 2 R. solani AG-2-1) isolates from tomatoes in three different districts of Van province, 6 Fusarium (3 F.solani, 3 F. oxysporum), 4 Rhizoctonia (all multinucleated R. solani 2 AG-3, 1 AG-5, and 1 AG-2-1) isolates and 10 Fusarium (6 F. oxyporum, 2 F. solani and 2 F. equiseti) isolates from melons. In the study of pathogenicity, 14 Fusarium isolates and all Rhizoctonia isolates were used to represent the regions. As a result of pathogenicity experiment, F. oxysporum was found in tomatoes and melons in Fusarium species and F. solani was found to be pathogenic in peppers. When Rhizoctonia species were examined in pathogenicity test, R. solani AG-4 in tomatoes and R. solani AG-3 in peppers were more pathogenic. In this study, R. solani AG-2-1 from tomato and pepper, Binucleic Rhizoctonia AG-K from tomato, R. solani AG-5 and R. solani AG-3 from pepper were isolated and identified anastomosis groups in Van first time.
