Determination of mineral levels in the varieties of some melons (Cucumis melo L.c.v./ Cucurbitaceae) cultivated in Van region

In this study, it is purposed to determine the mineral levels in the varieties of some local melons cultivated in Van region,ın the study, the melon samples cultivated in Alaköy area, Erciş and Gevaş district, have been used The mineral levels of Calcium (Ca), Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu), İron (Fe), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg), Manganese (Mn), Sodium (Na), Nichel (Ni), Lead (Pb), Zinç (Zn) in the melons cultivated in Alaköy area, Erciş and Gevaş district were detected. In the study, while the differences between the averages of Ca, Cr, Cu and Mg elements of the melon samples in Alaköy, Erciş and Gevaş district have statistically little importance. (p<0.05) differences between the averages of Cd, Fe, K, Mn, Na, Ni, Pb and Zn elements have been found more important.(p<0.05).
