Abstract (EN)

It is estimated that around ten percent of financial wealth worldwide is held in tax havens due to harmful tax competition. In order to eliminate the negative effects of harmful tax competition, some legal regulations and administrative sanctions are required. It received the support of 130 countries for the OECD to update its international tax rules and to tax the earnings from the digital economy. These countries have more than 90% of the global product and Turkey is among these countries. In recent years, it is seen that the studies on harmful tax competition, where it is important to create social awareness and reaction, are increasing. In this study, the change in the tax structure in Turkey has been examined with data and the dimension of tax havens has been discussed and the increase and importance of the necessary regulations has been emphasized.
