Abstract (EN)

Many pieces and products made of plastic materials are used nowadays in every sector from electronics, automotive to toys and has possessed a very intense using field. As it is requested much as an engineering material, researches an plastic processing methods has become an asset and up to day many developments has been observed. In injection molding, to determine the flow behavior theoretically and to simulate the flow, the variations in viscosity and density can be calculated via by the shear rate, temperature and the pressure. In this study, viscosity is obtained by using Carreau, Cross, Cross-WLF and Power-Law viscosity model In the injection molds, the governing equations that describe the flow front of a polymer melt and form of the pressure, velocity and temperature distribution have been derived for the mathematical modeling. The goal of this study is to obtain the governing equations for molten plastics in detail and numerical analysis and flow simulation of molten plastic in rectangular and circular tube mould cavity. Keywords: Viscosity, shear stress, shear strain, shear rate, injection pressure, reology
