Abstract (EN)

In this study, activated carbon obtained from Cherry kernel, which is a vegetable waste material obtained from Van Province, was used as adsorbent. Saturated activated carbon obtained from cherry kernel waste and prepared by treatment with KOH has been shown to have a significant BET surface area (1883.5788 m2 / g). Optimization of process variables for activated carbon obtained under the thesis, characterizations and liquid phase dye stuff adsorption of the obtained materials with BET, SEM, XRD, FTIR systems were investigated. The solutions in the study were prepared in five different concentrations (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 ppm) and two different dyes (Malachite Green and Methylene Blue). How much of these solutions at three different temperatures (298K, 308K and 318K) hold rate was calculated. In the later parts of the studies, the suitability of the preferred dyes to the adsorption of active carbon was investigated for the suitability of the adsorption equilibrium to three different adsorption isotherms, and it was determined that it complies with the Langmuir and Temkin Adsorption isotherms. Experimental studies have investigated kinetic velocity models with different starting concentrations at three different temperatures and have been found to be more suitable for Pseudo 2nd Degree Kinetic model. In addition, thermodynamic parameters (Gibbs Free Enthalpy ΔG°, Adsorption Entropy ΔS° and Adsorption Enthalpy ΔH°) were calculated and adsorption was found to be spontaneous and endothermic in character.
