Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of this study, silver nanoparticles were produced by the green synthesis method using extracts of Inula viscosa and Vitex agnus-castus plants collected from Osmaniye province. These produced nanoparticles were characterized using different analyses (XRD and SEM). XRD analysis revealed that silver nanoparticles were formed in a face-centered cubic (fcc) structure and had high crystallinity. In addition, XRD results showed that no secondary phases and structures were formed in the material. The surface morphology of silver nanoparticles was analyzed by SEM measurements and it was determined from the surface images that large nanoparticles were formed by aggregation or overlapping of small particles. However, the antimicrobial activities of these produced nanoparticles on various microorganisms have been revealed. At the end of the research, it was determined that silver nanoparticles synthesized using extracts of both I. viscosa and V. agnus-castus plants showed good antimicrobial activity.
