Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the feelings of loneliness of coaches who are responsible for the training of athletes and the effects of these feelings on professional self-efficacy and job satisfaction. The research covers volleyball coaches residing in the 5th district of Istanbul province. In the sample of the research, there are 81 female and 121 male coaches working in local administration in these districts, totaling 202 coaches. The sample group consists of volleyball coaches selected voluntarily from this population. In the study, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale was used to determine the job satisfaction levels of the participants. The scale was adapted into Turkish by Baycan (1985). The Loneliness in Work Life Scale developed by Wright et al. (2006) was used to determine the participants' loneliness at work. The scale was adapted into Turkish by Doğan et al. (2009) and the Volleyball Coach Professional Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Koçak and Güven (2018) was used to measure the level of professional self-efficacy of volleyball coaches and to investigate the results. SPSS 24.0 (Statistical package for the Social Sciences) program was used for data analysis. Reliability analysis, descriptive statistical methods and parametric tests measuring the relationship between demographic data and scale judgment statements were used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistical methods were used to calculate the frequency, percentage and mean values of the demographic data of the participants. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated to determine the validity and reliability of the scale used in the study. As a result of the data analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scales was found to be 0.700 and above. A Cronbach alpha value of 0.70 and above means that the scale is considered reliable (Tavşancıl, 2002). Therefore, Cronbach's alpha coefficient greater than 0.70 indicates that the scale is highly reliable.
