The importance of visuality in web interface design

This research involves examining the factors affecting the visual design of a website and preparing a sample web interface design. Besides it covers the determination of whether the visuality in web interface design is important or not with the questionnaire applied to the students. The topics obtained as a result of the literature review were examined and a sample interface design for Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Fine Arts was prepared by the researcher. The web interface design is intended to have a visual aesthetics and a usable structure. In this direction, the interface design phase has been completed by taking into consideration the principles of visual design, composition, typography and color. The prepared interface design was transformed into a responsive website by using HTML, CSS, JavaScript languages according to screen sizes. Moreover, the opinions of students were asked about the interface designed. The opinions of 156 students who participated in the survey were analyzed and interpreted.
