A WEB-based virtual lesson design for pedagogical formation education and its management (a sample study at Gaziantep University)

The study in hand, aimed at designing a sample virtual lesson,namely Classroom Management, as a part of Pedagogical Formation Program to be offered ina web-based format on the Internet. Beyond the literature survey, which mainly deals with athorough examination of the distance education models, the actual design of the ?ClassroomManagement? lesson constituted the heart of the study. In the virtual lesson design phase,?asynchronized? model was preferred and the application of all the components such asaccess to a virtual text, forum, speeded message delivery and exchange, bulletin board, online examination and evaluation channels have been made available to the end users. Thestudy, on the other hand, revealed that the firmly established infratructure and humanresources of the Gaziantep University would serve as a solid ground for the delivery of high-tech (web-based) educational programs on the Internet.Key words: Distance Education, Internet, Web Based Education, Pedagogical FormationEducation.
