Abstract (EN)
Today, more and more people are learning foreign languages for a variety of reasons. With the increase experienced, teaching Turkish to foreigners has become an increasingly important field. As in teaching all languages, it is very important to develop four basic language skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. One of these abilities, writing, allows the efficient transfer of the acquired language. It is known that writing skill activities are prepared according to various writing methods. One of them is the creative writing method, which is the task in which learners express their free thoughts in the target language. In order for language teaching to be fully realized, it was felt that it would be essential to conduct these studies, which also engage higher-order cognitive abilities. Based on this importance, "What is the level of compatibility of the creative writing activities in Turkish textbooks prepared for foreigners with the creative writing achievements in AOBM?" Based on the research topic, it was intended to examine the creative writing exercises in the basic (A1-A2), intermediate (B1-B2) and advanced (C1-C2) textbooks of the Yeni Istanbul, Yeni Hitit, Yedi Klima, Van Yüzüncü Yıl and Gazi Yabancılar İçin Türkçe sets. In the study, which was carried out in accordance with the case study, one of the qualitative research designs, the data on the activities were collected by document analysis method. The research has attempted to determine the suitability of the creative writing activities examined with respect to their subjects, their suitability for the language levels given in the general written production table in AOBM, their suitability with the creative writing achievements given in AOBM, and their distribution according to language levels. A total of 118 creative writing exercises from the workbooks were examined at as part of the research. The study discovered that the most creative writing exercises were found in the Yedi İklim Turkish set, whereas the least creative exercises were found in the VanYüzüncü Yıl Turkish sets. The subject-content harmony has been found to be mostly attained, and all activities meet the gains in language levels in the general written production table. In terms of creative writing achievements and the harmony of activities, it was seen that 86 activities reflect the language-level achievements, while 32 activities do not reflect the achievements. It was determined that most of the creative writing activities examined were constructed in accordance with the AOBM accomplishments.
