Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, it is aimed to determine the performance of some European origin strawberry genotypes in terms of fruit yield and quality characteristics under the ecological conditions of Adana. In this context, 3 strawberry genotypes originating from Italy (AN124553, AN142161, and AN131355) and 4 originating from France (EXP 118, EXP 121, EXP 129, and EXP 801) were used as material. Seven different genotypes in the thesis are characterized in terms of fruit yield per plant, fruit shape, fruit color, fruit weight, quality classification, Total Water Soluble Dry Matter, total phenol, total antioxidant capacity, total anthocyanin, aroma, sugar, and organic. It was determined that the highest values obtained were in AN142161 genotype where the total yield per plant was 832.15 g/plant, the average fruit weight in the same genotype was 12.37 g/plant, while the mean value of Total Water Soluble Dry Matter was 8.5% in EXP 121 genotype. In terms of total phenol content, the highest average value was in EXP 801 genotype (551.47 mg/GAE 100g), the highest total sugar value the highest average L-ascorbic acid value was found was determined in EXP 121 genotype (12.23% and 73.71 mg/100g, respectively), and the highest mean value of citric acid was determined in EXP 801 genotype (789.82 mg/100g). As result, it was determined that AN142161 genotype has the highest yield and average fruit weight, the EXP 121 genotype have the highest total sugar and L-Ascorbic acid content and EXP 801 genotype have the highest total phenol and citric acid values per plant and were also prominent in yield and average fruit weight per plant.
