The adaptation behaviour of foreign domestic students: TÖMER sample

Communication, which has an important place in every part of our lifes, with the process of globalization, has become one of the indispensable factors of today?s individual, social and organizational life. Especially interpersonal communication is required and important for the accaptance of social environment and the lasting of the social life in harmony. This study has been made to explain the Adaptation behaviour with the communicatin concept and to examine which factors that effect the Adaptation process of the foreign domestic students which have come to our country to receive training. Bringing up the importance and evaluationing the results of the factors effecting the interpersonal communication ,also persongrup communication are mentioned in this study İn the first part of this study before all else Adaptation Behaviour is taken in hand as a concept and the purpose and importance of the interpersonel communication is emphasized. Furthermore the factors effecting the interpersonal communication, the grup concept and how grup communication effects the individuals are tried to be explanied. İn the second part the Adaptation Behaviour and factors effecting the interpersonal communication are examined. İn the third and the last part a survey is conducted for foreign domestic students who completed their eduation and learnt Turkish in Tömer language centers in Gazi and Ankara Universities during 2005-2006 years of study. The data obtained from the results of this survey are interpretated with the SPSS technique The survey sheet is prepared to state expressly the students adaptation level and the factors that effect this , instead of their economic, social and cultural properties. The answers given by the students are interpreted in accordance with the obtained results. The adaptation behaviour is explained in the light of the findings with generalizing. The acceptance behaviour of the foreign domestic students during their education in our country are tried to be examined in terms of interpersonal communication.
