Abstract (EN)

Starting around 1960s in France, "social exclusion", is a multi-dimensional term that carries not only social, but also, economical, political and cultural meanings. Depending on the era, and the location, social exclusion, explains the period of a socioeconomic difference. Conceptually, when taken as the opposite of social unification, social exclusion can be defined as the lack of civil, political and economical rights. There are many causes for social exclusion such as globalization, nationalism or state lawlessness, decrease in public expenses, new developments in production or workforce, and the inequality in income distribution. Migration is also another important cause for social exclusion. Today, approximately 175 million people live in a country that is different than their country of origin. In addition to the serious amount of migration towards to the developed countries, the migration towards developing countries such as Turkey shows a steady increase due to various reasons too. Immigrants, mostly assume that they are being denied some of their social rights. This is one of the reasons why countries that receives migration experience serious social changes. In the first and the second chapters, social exclusion, migration and foreign student movements are studied in detail. In the third chapter research methods, model constraints, tools, methodology is being discussed and the result of the research and tables and figures are presented.
