Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted in two different locations of the Thrace region to evaluate oil hybrid sunflower cultivars and cultivar candidates for yield and yield components during sunflower growing season in 2023. In this research, total 14 genotypes including 6 commercial sunflower hybrid cultivars as LG 50.521 CLP, LG 50.550 CLP, P64LP130, P64LP146, SY CHELSEA and SY ROSETA selected from among the most preferred oil sunflower cultivars by the regional producers, and 8 oil sunflower hybrid candidates developed by the Field Crops Department of Agricultural Faculty of Tekidağ Namık Kemal University were used as seed materials. The trials were established according to Randomized Blocks Design with four replications at two locations including Tekirdağ-Saray-Osmanlı and Kırklareli-Kocahıdır locations in 2023. As a result of the research, statistically significant differences were determined for genotypes and locations in number of flowering days, physiological maturity, plant height, head diameter, thousand seed weight, seed hectoliter weight, seed yield, seed oil content and oil yield per decare. Oil yields of genotypes were ranged from 79.17-87.83 kg in Osmanlı and 60.35-81.13 kg in Kocahıdır. The highest oil yields in both locations were obtained in P64LP146, P64LP130 and LG 50.550 CLP commercial sunflower hybrids. In the study, hybrid variety candidates H2922, H814 and H2715 were determined as promising genotypes that could be used in regional production. Keywords: Oil sunflower hybrid, genotype, location, seed yield, seed oil content
