Family and women in judaism

Judaism is a religion with approximately 16 million members today. The fact that they have members all over the world has caused them to be influenced by different cultures and civilizations. The fact that they lived in exile for centuries shows that they interacted with many societies. They were in constant conflict with the people of the period. They had to continue their lives with nations with different characters, ideologies and family life. No matter how hard they tried to live as stated in the Torah and Talmud, they were also influenced by the cultures of the society. As a result, although this social unity did not theoretically change some of the religious rules and practices stated in Halaka, in practice, it caused some differences between sects. One of these differences is the family life in Judaism. In the Tanakh, the family duties and responsibilities of men and women are specified. Since the continuation of the generation has a very important place in Judaism, both sexes are expected to be aware of this. As a matter of fact, the woman is the building block of the family. It is he who trains an individual from his childhood and makes him useful to society. However, in some religions and societies, this situation of women differs. In Judaism, women continue their lives under the rule of men. Therefore, women were evaluated in a lower class than men in many ways and were exposed to sanctions. Male dominance is in question in many areas such as worship, continuation of the generation, witnessing and inheritance. This situation of women has undergone some changes in modern life with the effect of innovative movements.
