Abstract (EN)

The subject of this study is Yalçın Koç's interpretations and assessments of the organon of language, the quality of perception, and the development of consciousness in infancy, childhood, and adulthood. Accordingly, this study addresses the stages in which objects, the subjects of thought, are constructed in the mind, and the function of language is explored through the use of a number of analogies. According to Yalçın Koç, humans cannot grasp the reality of any object, especially themselves, through their rational faculty. Rationality, which inherently separates objects and their qualities and transforms them into abstract representations in the mind, renders true self-awareness impossible. Therefore, Yalçın Koç places "psukhe" at the center, rather than rationality itself, and considers rationality to be a faculty of "psukhe" in human adulthood. Accordingly, experiencing oneself as both the perceiver and the perceived through the psyche is only possible through a pure consciousness acquired during infancy, when the external world is not perceived. Yalçın Koç terms this self-awareness during infancy "theoria" and defines the purpose of "theo-logia" as the activity of investigating the foundations and limits of language and thought. Accordingly, "theo-logia" allows us to determine the criteria regarding the perspective from which and within the framework of language and logic that objects and concepts belonging to a transcendent field can be interpreted. According to Koç, who defines the concept of "theo-logia" as "ideology related to theory," there are certain fundamental criteria for theory and thought. Using these criteria, discussed in our study, can facilitate the determination of whether a thought belongs to the field of theory or thought. Yalçın Koç, who uses the concept of "linguistic architectonics" to draw attention to the structure of language in infancy, childhood, and adulthood, emphasizes that each naturally acquired linguistic layer during these periods corresponds to a specific level of consciousness that is, to the way a person perceives themselves and the world. In this context, it is possible to say that an existential bond is established between language and the subject. This study draws attention to the relationship between language, thought, and the subject, and the ontological dimension and boundaries of language are depicted through Yalçın Koç's thoughts.
