Abstract (EN)
This paper describes the hydro geochemical analysis of the hot water reserves in Termal Hot Water Springs which located 12 km south-west of the city center of Yalova and surrounding area. Other than the three hot water springs which were analyzed in Termal Hot Water Springs(The main spring, Eye water, Gastric water), there are several low flow, hot water springs which are located along the Ismail River. Because of the hot water springs were catched (captaged) the water flow could not measured directly, but the total water flow assumed to be around 20 lt/sn. Temperature of the water springs varied between 54-64 0C. Water samples, which were taken from the hot water springs, were analyzed according to their physicochemical features and results were taken into consideration. According to these results Termal Hot Water Springs categorized as curative or restorative waters contains sodium-calcium and sulfate chloride. Hot water need of the facilities in Termal Hot Springs provided from the main spring and the improvements on the production / obtaining of hot water were made by various drilling operations.
