Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the effect of employee satisfaction on job performance while investigating the mediating roles of job stress and job engagement. Within the theoretical framework, the concepts of employee satisfaction, job performance, job stress, and job engagement are discussed in detail, and recent studies in the literature are reviewed. The research model is tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). In the empirical section of the study, data were collected from individuals working in both the public and private sectors through surveys and analyzed. The validity and reliability of the scales were tested using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of the structural equation modeling indicate that employee satisfaction has a direct effect on job performance and that job stress and job engagement play mediating roles in this relationship. The findings suggest that employee satisfaction is a critical factor in enhancing job performance. However, job stress weakens this positive effect, whereas job engagement strengthens job performance. Accordingly, it is recommended that organizations develop policies to increase employee satisfaction while also implementing strategies to reduce job stress and promote job engagement. This study aims to contribute to the fields of human resource management and organizational behavior. The findings provide significant insights for both academics and practitioners and serve as a foundation for future research.
