Abstract (EN)

The skin is an organ with the largest surface area that protects our body against external factors. While the outer epidermis protects the body against damage such as burns and injuries, the inner dermis protects the body against trauma. Partial or complete repair is common in scar tissue. In this study, new generation wound dressings that can breathe, absorb the flow, and control the wound healing process, which can prevent the formation of bacteria as well as the risk of infection, were examined and calendula (Calendula officinalis) were produced using nanotechnological electrospinning system by reinforcing into water-soluble polymer solutions such as polyethylene oxide (PEO) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Morphological analysis (Field Emission Gun Scanning Electron Microscopy (FEGSEM), mechanical analysis (Tensile Test) and biological analysis (Cell Culture) of tissue scaffolds were performed to determine the material properties that can be used in wound dressing applications.
