Students were randomly assigned to groups. The content of postmortem care was transferred to the control group with the classical education method of lecture and demonstration techniques, and to the experimental group with the creative drama method. Research data; It was collected through Descriptive Characteristics Form, Postmortem Care Knowledge Test, Postmortem Care Skills Checklist and Satisfaction Questionnaire with Training Methods. In this study, number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used for descriptive analysis. Mann Whitney U Test, Independent Sample t Test and Wilcoxon Ordered Signs test were used to compare the knowledge, skills, permanence and satisfaction levels of the experimental and control groups. Analysis of Variance in Repeated Measurements was used to evaluate the experimental and control groups within themselves. The significance level was accepted as 0.05. Postmortem care training given to the experimental and control groups was found to be effective methods in improving the knowledge and skill levels of nursing students about postmortem care (p<0.05). It was determined that the knowledge and skill levels of the experimental group regarding postmortem care, their learning persistence and satisfaction with education methods were higher than the control group (p<0.05). It has been seen that creative drama is a more effective method than the classical education method in the postmortem care education given to nursing students.
