Abstract (EN)

Life satisfaction is the pleasure level that a person has reached as a consequence of completely assessing his own life quality.Also, we can use well-being and happiness for life satisfaction, and it can be accepted as an important indicator of one person?s level of satisfaction from life.Search happiness is the most important purpose for lots of people in their lifes. Life satisfactions can be represented as a function of household income, age, gender, labor face and level of education. In addition to these variables, individual?s health, residential area, vision of life and hopes can be used to interpret happiness.The purpose of this application is to explore the determinants of life satisfaction by using the data provided by Turkish Statistical Institute 2004 life satisfaction survey applied to 6.174 households all over Turkey. The ordered probit model is used to estimate the dependent variables life satisfactions in Turkey and the empirical findings are interpreted both statistically and economically.Key words: Ordered Probit Model, life satisfactions, happiness
