Abstract (EN)

Effects of The Living Environment on Human Psychology Nature is a system that works with its own rules and laws that constantly renew and change itself without being changed by the human hand (Atalay, 2013). People are intertwined with nature since the first moments of their lives and they continue to exist by taking advantage of the blessings that nature offers to themselves. Time spent with nature provides physical and functional benefits as well as providing spiritual relaxation in individuals (Nisbet ve Zelenski, 2011). However, being associated with nature brings along many positive environmental behaviors and attitudes (Zelenski ve Nisbet, 2014). This thesis consists of four chapters: introduction, material method, findings and conclusions. In the first part, we examine the importance of nature, human-nature relationship, short definitions of natural phenomena and the effects of natural phenomena on human psychology, the factors that play a role in human mental and physical health, the relationship between culture and environment with human health, the historical period of psychiatry and the complaints of the old period treatment methods applied in old and new periods. In the second part of the questionnaire, independent t test, anova test and logistic regression analysis were applied. In the third section, the findings of the survey conducted for three months in the patients who were examined with the complaints of depression, stress and anxiety in the Psychiatry Policlinic of Fırat University Hospital were included. In the fourth chapter, the results are discussed. The aim of this study; to examine the effects of the living environment (nature, city, district, village) on human psychology and the effects of human life on the living space and to investigate to what extent the living environment of the patients coming to Fırat University Hospital Psychiatry Policlinic's complaints affects depression, discomfort, stress and if there is a relationship between them. and to try to model with appropriate statistical methods.
