Abstract (EN)
In the interviews conducted in the study, questions about the victimization experiences of the past were asked and the approaches of the elderly to the phenomenon of crime (fraud crime) were discussed on the basis of fear of crime. With the qualitative study; It is one of the aims of the research to investigate whether there is a fear of fraud in the elderly, to what extent it is, and to show the reasons for the result. In this context, a phenomenological approach that focuses on human experiences has been determined as a research design. With purposive sampling, in-depth research was tried to be done by selecting people who were rich in terms of presenting information to the research in accordance with the purpose of the research. 11 participants aged 65 and over residing in different cities of our country were asked to convey their experiences of victimization in their own words, and then questions continued to be asked to each participant in the context of the event they had experienced. In the interviews, remarkable expressions were found that the participants felt anger and shame apart from fear. In the answers given to the questions, it is not clear that the participants experienced a fear arising from these experiences in general, but these feelings other than fear were witnessed.
