Abstract (EN)
In this study it was aimed to determine the effects of orally vitamin D and bifidobacterium animalis subs. lactis and vitamin D combination on immune response after vaccination. Fort his propose crossbred dogs (n = 21) in both sexes on 55-65 days of age were included in the study. The dogs included in the study were divided into three groups: commercial mixed vaccine (Group 1), mixed vaccine and bifidobacterium animalis subs lactis and vitamin d combination (Group 2), vaccine and vitamin D (Group 3). It was observed that the hair structure and appetite of the dogs in the group where the combination of Bifidobacterium animalis subs. lactis and vitamin D was applied was better compared to other groups. It was determined that the antibody titers that developed against the canine distemper virus reached sufficient antibody titers in terms of disease protection in animals after the 1st and 2nd booster vaccine, where there was no statistically significant difference between the groups compared to the first vaccination. The titers of antibodies against canine parvo virus vaccination in developing the groups were not statistically different in terms of the time of the first vaccination, however, bifidobacterium animalis subs lactis in the samples at the time of the booster vaccination second and applied a combination of vitamin D3 (Group 2) were statistical significant differences in antibody titers compared to other groups (P <0.05). In conclusion, before the second rapel vaccination, it was determined that the dogs had sufficient antibody response to the canine parvo virus and the canine distamper virus, and that the combination of bifidobacterium animalis subs lactis and vitamin D3 had positive response to the antibody response to parvovirus
