Yavuz Seckin's artistic works and patterns of some of his designs on scarfs

When Mozart was asked to explain how he composed his music, his openhearted answer was: ? How can I know? ?. To unfold an artist is very difficult, and the same difficulty applies to explaining the works created by him. The reason behind this is; that every creation consists of lines showing God?s hand. In consciousness of this expression, the art life of Yavuz Seckin; known as the ?Watercolor Master of Turkish Painting History? has been presented as master?s thesis subject.In this master?s thesis; the beginning of Yavuz Seckin?s design life, his educational programs in the field of design both in Turkey and abroad, his productions in design accomplished in light of his educational programs, his academic path, design systems that he constructed for traditional Turkish hand crafts and industrial design, the productional and design reflections of these methods were presented.Yavuz Seckin?s interest and curiosity to art, his perspective in terms of art and artist, the reason why he didn?t designate himself as an artist, his definition of an art work, the viewpoint of the country to art where he resided and his ideas on how to encourage the people of this country to pictorial art, his place in Turkish painting history, the reviews of art critics about him, his exhibitions and prizes were explored. Five pieces from his work which were chosen personally by him were applied to scarves.
